Privacy Policy for SoloTuner

Last updated: May 1, 2026

PaguSoft ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SoloTuner mobile application (the "App"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App. SoloTuner may be distributed through Google Play and, during testing, through direct installation (for example an APK shared by us). If you use Google Play, Google's terms and privacy policies also apply to your use of the store. If you install the App outside the store, those store-specific terms do not apply, but this Privacy Policy still describes how we handle information in the App.

1. Information collection and use

The App is built so that tuning happens on your device. We do not send your microphone audio or your saved settings to our servers. We do not operate user accounts in the App. This version does not include third-party analytics SDKs in the App itself.

A. Microphone (audio processing)

The App needs microphone access to detect pitch. Audio is processed in real time on your device for tuning only. We do not store audio as recordings, and we do not upload sound to external servers for tuning.

Processing uses small, temporary in-memory buffers (for example ring buffers and analysis windows) that are continuously overwritten for each analysis step. Microphone input used for tuning is not written to persistent storage as a saved audio file for that purpose.

Signal processing is designed for fundamental pitch detection (including band-limiting filters in the processing chain). The App does not transcribe speech, identify speakers, or use the microphone as a voice-recording product beyond this real-time tuning use.

The microphone is active only while the tuner is in use. It stops when you leave the tuner screen or switch away from the App. You can also turn the microphone off manually using the microphone control on the main tuner screen.

Loud environments and background noise can affect any tuner. Using the App in a quieter space usually gives more stable readings.

B. Data stored on your device

To remember your choices between sessions, the App stores the following only on your device (not on our servers):

You can remove this information in several ways. From SoloTuner version 1.1.0 onward, you can clear saved tuner preferences, favourites, custom tunings, and app language on that device from the About screen in the App. If you use an earlier version, or prefer using system controls, you can remove the same kind of on-device data by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.

C. Current monetization

This version of the App is free and does not show ads and does not offer in-app purchases.

2. App stores and aggregated statistics

If you install or use the App from Google Play, Google processes certain information as part of operating the store and may show developers aggregated statistics (for example installs, uninstalls, or high-level device information). That processing is described in Google's policies. We do not use those statistics to identify individual users.

If you install the App outside Google Play (for example a beta APK), that store-specific processing does not apply; the App's on-device behavior described in Section 1 still applies.

3. Future updates (ads and optional features)

We may ship updates that add advertising (for example an ad SDK) after we grow the user base. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy and explain what is collected or shared in the App (for example in Settings or the Information screen) before or when those features go live, and we will comply with Google Play requirements.

The App does not automatically upload crash logs or diagnostics. If you choose to email us (for example using the Information screen), see Section 7 below.

4. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us using the email below.

5. Your rights (summary)

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because we do not receive your tuning audio or on-device settings on our servers, most relevant actions are under your control as set out in Section 1.B (including About on version 1.1.0 and above, or device settings / uninstall on any version). You may still contact us with questions.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the App changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and for important changes we will also reflect them in the App where appropriate.

7. Support and user communication

If you contact us directly by email (for example for support, feedback, or to describe a crash), we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.

8. Contact us
